Restorative Yoga

The unique difference of Restorative Yoga is the slower, more methodical positions of the body and the use of props (bolsters, blankets and blocks).  Props provide the support that is needed so that clients can completely relax and go of the body tension that creates the negative impact of chronic stress.  The use of gentle movement through sequencing is also used to support a healthy spine, reverse the effects of gravity, soothe internal organs, and balance the body’s energy source.  Restorative Yoga can be used with other forms of relaxation practices such as hypnosis, meditation, and guided imagery.
