Co-dependency

Co-dependency is a pattern of behavior that presents itself out of a need to seek self-worth and approval from others.  It often begins early in life through the observation and interaction within a dysfunctional family system that role-modeled poor communication style and ineffective personality traits.   When someone finds themselves trying to change others instead of themselves, there is probably some level of codependency in the relationship.  Learning to have a relationship with yourself based on compassion, trust and intuitive knowing is the beginning to having healthy relationships with others.  Finding the strength and courage to respect boundaries for self and others offers the possibility of finding strength and diversity in the worthiness of self and all relationships.
